Choosing routing alternative before converting to route was created by toqduj
Hi all,
I've been trying to figure this out but am drawing blanks so far: when creating a routing, the advanced settings allow for the calculation of a few alternative routes. However, I seem to be unable to select one of the alternatives before the "converting routing to route"-step, which always takes (what it believes to be (and probably is)) the most optimal. Is there a way to override this and select one of the alternatives before conversion and optimisation?
All the best,
Brian.

Hi,
Sure, you have to activate (click or press) the isochron containing the point that interests you, in that case the last point of the alternative route, and then right-click on it and "create a pivot". That will create a new routing starting at that point and time, which you will be able to convert in a route.
Also note that "Activated isochrons" will show many useful data when you hover over them.
Regards,
Philippe

Super, got it. Thanks for the quick help!
For (my own) future reference, the steps after creating the pivot point are:
- menu item: routings - edit routing - [routing #]
- select option "convert to route using label XX"
then the process proceeds as usual.
