Recent versions do not work on new macOS Big Sur (11.0.1)

Hello, recent versions of qtVlm do not start on latest macOS Big Sur. Version 5.9-9 seems OK, but the version I had from August 2020 didn't work. Just downloaded the latest 5.9.13-p2 and that also does NOT work.

Symptom is that it only gets one menu entry, qtVlm, and then just a spinning beach ball.

I'm wondering if you have trouble with qtVlm itself or its installer.

Did you go thru the install process and get this when launching qtvlm or is it when running the program available in the dmg ?

We have updated our MacOS package this morning, and this problem with Big Sur should be fixed. Can you please re-download it and confirm it is OK now?

Looks good, thanks for the quick turnaround. Next step would be to notarize with Apple to avoid security headaches when installing.

Application and installation are notarized with Apple and should not ask you anything more than the usual stuff.

The installer was notarized (no security alert) but the application offered to be Trashed. Had to go to Control Panel to allow it to start.
